Firestone Golf Club

Firestone is tough. The landing areas are not particularly generous and the greens feature some wicked slope. The front nine holes are not a naturally beautiful stretch of holes but are made more attractive by a good use of water and landscaping. The undulating back nine winds its way through a valley. From the blue tee the course measures in excess of 6,500 yards - long for recreational golfers. For weekend players, a drop down to the white tees is a good idea because the course's numerous hazards are less in play.
Fairways are in excellent condition while the greens look good and putt well, but haven't been given time to settle and are incredibly hard. Don't be at all surprised to see your perfectly flighted pitching wedge take a hard first bounce and end up over the back.
